Destination: South America
157. Luis Bunuel’s Robinson Crusoe: Dan O’Herlihy in his only Oscar nominated performance nearly 40 years before he’d become Andrew Packard. More importantly, Bunuel’s only movie made with Hollywood money along with being his first in color and first (out of two?) in English. This was only my fifth Bunuel. I know, I need to see at least a dozen more. (Tristana is on TCM next week!)
158. Hector Babenco’s Kiss of the Spider Woman: William Hurt won his only Oscar for his performance here and I don’t have anything more to say about that.
